FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If your question isn’t addressed below, please see my policies before contacting me. I do not have a receptionist.
What is your office like?
My office, though a relaxing environment, is not a spa. It is located on the professional business level of the Beaver Hill South condo building. We will be the only people present in my office for your session. No guests may wait in the office during your session.
Some people have trouble finding my location; clear instructions are in your confirmation email and there are pictures to guide you on Google Maps. Give yourself enough time to get lost and found.
There will be:
An area to place your belongings
Music that can be changed to your liking
Sound machine to dim potential background noise
Optional heated massage table
Vegan massage oil, lotion or balm
This is my first massage. What can I expect?
We will review the intake form you completed beforehand, discuss your goals for the session and I will answer any questions.
While you dress down to your comfort level, whatever that means to you, I will wash my hands and arms in the bathroom down the hall.
You will get on the massage table, under the linens, and I will knock on the door to make sure you are situated before entering.
I will assess your comfort level, make adjustments and place a bolster under your knees or ankles for extra comfort.
Most of my sessions start with compressions over the blanket from the feet up to your shoulders.
I will check in with you on pressure level shortly after the massage has begun.
Extra time will be spent working on your area(s) of focus.
You will turn over about halfway through the massage and you will be covered while turning over.
I will let you know when the session has ended. I will step out while you get dressed.
I will come back in the room once you are dressed to discuss your experience and rebook your next session, if appropriate.
What is your cancellation policy?
All sales are final to protect my time. Appointments that are cancelled, rescheduled or missed will result in an account credit that can be used towards a future appointment. More than two missed or less than 24-hour cancellation appointments may result in your dismissal as a client.
Do you offer same-day appointments or walk-in clients?
Clients are served by appointment only, no walk-ins allowed. Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance online.
How can I book an appointment?
All new clients, including gift card recipients, must book an appointment online using the booking system. Existing clients without standing appointments must book online. Clients may book future appointments in my office at the end of their service, as long as we are a good fit for each other.
Requests for appointments over the phone, via email or text will not be honored.
What forms of payment are accepted?
A credit or debit card is required to reserve appointments, unless you have a gift certificate that covers the full cost of your service.
Payment is due in full at the time of booking for all new clients. I do not have access to your card on file.
Gratuity is not accepted.
Cash is not accepted.
Health insurance is not accepted.
Can I buy a gift card?
Gift cards are no longer for sale. I want to work with clients who have chosen me because they were referred by an existing client or something on my website or social media pages resonated with them. I am happy to refer you to other Licensed Massage Therapists who sell gift cards.
Does Divine Refinery accept men as clients?
Divine Refinery provides services to women. I am happy to recommend other Licensed Massage Therapists if you do not identify as a woman.
